Ubley Parish Hall Events

Each year the Parish Hall accommodates a number of community events which include:

Ubley Publey

On every 1st Friday in the month the Bar is opened to allow parishioners and their friends to meet and enjoy a few drinks and the convivial atmosphere of the bar lounge. The Bar usually opens at 8pm.

Chew Valley Beer Festival

A major event each year is the Chew Valley Beer Festival which is run across a friday and Saturday and which has become a favorite with people across the Chew Valley and beyond.

Apart from the wide range of excellent beers and ciders there is something for everyone to enjoy whether it is live music, a range of traditional pub games or just a chance for a good natter with friends, old or new. There is usually a band at both evening sessions whilst Saturday afternoon is a more relaxed, laid back occasion - perhaps the time to come and really broaden your palate with some of the wide range of excellent beers on offer.

During the festival a "Quiet" room is available at the back of the hall, containing chairs, tables and some traditional pub games - a welcome refuge for people who want to enjoy their beer and consider their next choice in relative calm while avoiding the masses circling near the bar.

Food is available during the evening sessions to cater for those needs that require more than just beer alone.

Entrance is only available with an advance ticket which can be purchased nearer the time.

Check out the Chew Valley Beer Festival website for more information.

Christmas Party

For Christmas 2016 the Hall Committee invited all the residents of Ubley to a family party with their children or grandchildren along with the children who attend Ubley Preschool and Primary School and their parents.

An entertainer was arranged to get the children in the festive spirit with a fun packed afternoon of games, music and a magic show. Adults joined in the fun or enjoyed a drink and a chat with friends in the bar. The children were offered a full party style buffet and cake and there was some festive fare for the adults too. Santa called in at the end of the party there were plenty of raffle prizes in the raffle draw on the day.

The success of the Christmas Party means that we will be running it again this year.
